Purposes and legal bases for processing personal data

When visiting our website When you visit our website, each instance of access is temporarily saved in a log file. The following data is recorded without any action on your part and is erased after a maximum of 6 months:

  • the IP address of the requesting computer
  • the date and time of access
  • the name and the URL of the file requested
  • the website from which the file is requested
  • the operating system of your computer and the browser it uses
  • the name of your internet access provider

This data is collected and recorded for the purpose of enabling use of the website (establishing a connection), guaranteeing long-term system security and stability, enabling technical administration of the network infrastructure and the optimization of the internet service, as well as for internal statistical purposes, provided that this is required to preserve legitimate interests of the controller or a third party (Art. 6 para 1 letter f GDPR). In particular, our legitimate interest is in defending ourselves against cyberattacks. The IP address is only evaluated if there is an attack on our network infrastructure and for statistical purposes. Furthermore, we use cookies /and web analytics tools.

You can information on this under nr. 6 and 7. b. When an application is made from time to time, we advertise jobs on our website. We only process the personal data which you transmit to us by email or telephone as part of the application for the purposes of your application based on Art. 6 para 1 letter b and c GDPR. We will keep your data strictly confidential according to the provisions of law. If you do not request your data to be erased, it will be saved for a maximum of 6 months after the application process is complete. If we want to keep your application for longer, because your profile could match another job which will only be advertised in the future, we will ask you for your written consent to do this.

The right to object and the right of revocation

Pursuant to Art 21 GDPR, you have the right to object to your data processing that is being done in our legitimate interest or that of a third party, as long as you have reasons due to your particular situation or if the objection is to general or personalized direct marketing. In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which we will implement without you having to provide information on your particular situation. If you would like to exercise your right to object or your right of revocation, please send us an email or contact the controller in another way (see also nr. 1).

Disclosure of data to third parties / recipients of the data

We do not disclose your personal data to third parties. We use technical providers (e.g. host providers) to render our services by way of processing pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Your personal data is saved at our request and according to our instructions in Germany and in Switzerland. There is an adequacy decision by the EU Commission for Switzerland, i.e. the EU Commission has found that, due to domestic legal provisions or international obligations concerning the protection of privacy as well as freedoms and fundamental rights of persons, Switzerland has an adequate level of data protection (Commission decision 2005/518/EC).

Cookies

To make visits to our website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use cookies based on Art. 6 para 1 letter f GDPR. Cookies are small units of information which are saved in the working memory of your computer. Randomly generated unique identification numbers are saved in a cookie, a so-called session ID. Apart from this, a cookie contains information about its origin and the period of storage. These cookies cannot save any other data. You can delete any cookies which have been saved at any time by amending your browser settings. If you do not want cookies to be used, you can block their use in your browser. It cannot be guaranteed that this will not affect the functionality of our website.

These cookies will be automatically deleted after two weeks.

Use of anonymized user profiles for the purposes of web analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics tool of Google Inc. (“Google”), based on Art. 6 para 1 letter f GDPR. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, i.e. text files which are saved on your computer and enable your usage of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is generally transferred to and saved on a Google server in the USA. If IP-anonymization is activated on this website, Google will first shorten your IP address in a member state of the European Union or in another signatory state of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address will only be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there in exceptional cases. Google will use this information at the request of the operator of this website to evaluate your usage of the website, compile reports on website traffic and to provide other services to the website operator relating to website use or use of the internet. The IP address transmitted as part of Google Analytics will not be combined with other data of Google. You can stop cookies being saved by adjusting the settings on your browser software appropriately; however, we would like to point out that, if you do this, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website. Furthermore, you can stop the data generated by the cookie which relates to your use of the website being recorded (including your IP address) and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de). You can find further information on the terms of use and data protection under http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or under https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/. Please note that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the code “anonymizeIp” to guarantee anonymous recording of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). Our legitimate interests are in analyzing, optimizing and the economic operation of our website.

General period of data storage

In general, the period for which your data is stored depends on the purposes pursued by storage. In principle, we erase your personal data if we no longer require it for the purpose pursued by its storage, unless overriding statutory retention periods apply. Rights of the data subject

You have the following rights with regard to the data we process:

  • the right to access your personal data which we have stored pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR
  • (as the case may be) the right to having your data which we have stored rectified or completed pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR
  • the right to erasure of your data which we have stored pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR (right to be forgotten)
  • the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted or blocked pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR
  • (as the case may be) the right to data portability pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR
  • the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR
  • the right to revoke any consents given pursuant to Art. 7 para 3 GDPR
  • the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR

Liability for links

Our offer contains links to external, third-party websites, over whose content we have no influence. Therefore, we cannot accept any liability for this external content.
